Getting to know my students.

Activity

I created a shared (anyone with link can edit) Google Presentation and gave each student a slide to tell the class, and our blog readers, what books they are reading and their learning intentions for 2015 in English.

This activity provided an opportunity to start the year with a discussion about digital citizenship- copyright, respect, and online safety with first name and initial of last name.

It is interesting to see what books our students enjoy and that so many of them want library time to read. Happily,they eagerly participated in using collaborative digital tools such as a Google Presentation showing respect for their peers and knowledge of ICT.

We’re off to a good start.
